Slow Progress

I have been so tired the last week and a half. I feel like I haven't made much progress on my stitching. I started my Quaker Happy Christmas Sampler last week when I didn't have the threads to start my next Christmas Stocking. I usually stitch one piece at a time but since I started the sampler to fill time until I could go buy threads, I'm going to work on each piece a little bit at a time.

Beginnings of Happy Christmas designed by Carolina House. (sorry this is upside down but David doesn't really know what I do).

Here's a nice detail of the first motif.

This is Sampler Stocking VII by Mary Beale. Once this one is finished, it will be for Lena.

3 Months (but she'll be 4 months this week)

I'm a little late at doing this. But then again, we had the pictures taken a week into three months then we had to wait for the disc...but yeah I also forgot.

Here are some of my favorites.

I am so freakin' cute!

I just love my hands...they taste so good!

I'm so over this.

My little stinker.

Doesn't David look like a natural?

It's like Christmas!

Imagine my surprise when I received a box in the mail from Carter's and it was filled with new clothes for Lena. My sister bought my entire wish list from their website. Holy Cow! She loves her little Lena Loo and loves to spoil her since she can't love and squish on her all the time.

The outfits are so cute that I just had to share.

These are 3 month. I just love that the ladybug sleep n' play says "little lady" on it. And don't forget her St. Patty's day outfit.

Fun bright tunics with leggings.

T-shirts and crops.

Rompers and dresses. I love the little bloomers with the dresses.

And some more rompers for this summer.

Big girl pajamas...not too big 18 months.

And super cute shirts for next spring.

Thank you Aunt Katy!!!!

Quaker Heart

Every holiday I get a card from David. It's not just any card. He always takes the time to draw me a card. This past October for our anniversary, he found a Quaker (my favorite sampler style) Heart pattern for free online. He drew out the design on the card for me. I was so impressed! So as a quick side project, I decided to stitch it. Now to find the time to get them framed, I want them side by side. Same frame or two frames? Can't decide.

Woodland Berries

I finished my Woodland Berries piece. While small, it still took a little longer than I thought. I guess stitching on the 22 ct for the Christmas Stockings has me spoiled. I think this piece came out really nice. It was my first time stitching with silk and it's really pretty.

Here's the start of my Quaker Heart piece. This one is extra special but you have to wait until the end for the big reveal!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope everyone has a great day! Just a few pictures to share.

This has to be the cheesiest thing I've done's not a family photo card. I had the idea to send out Valentine's Day cards with footprints on them. It was a group effort. My friend Heather helped with some ideas. David helped me paint her feet so I could press them. And he did some printing for me.

Also we have a preview of pictures to come. This Sunday we did our 3 month photo shoot with Angela Kerr. I love this picture of both my stinkers!

And last but not least here's an update on my latest stitching project.

One Down

Alrighty! One down...three more to go! I finished my first Mary Beale Sampler Stocking. I think it looks great! I was a little apprehensive when I saw the 22 count fabric and large stitch size. But once I started a few of the bands it came together. I can't wait to start on my second one. I hope to finish at least one more this year...maybe two.

Love it! This one is my stocking. I haven't put the name in yet because I can't decide on Kim or Kimberly.

A little preview of my next project.

Mission Accomplished!

Valentine's Day cards are in the mail. I could only do a few because it was a little harder than I thought. Gotta love David for being able to print everything for me (including the postage).

I will put up a picture once the cards have been received so there are no spoilers. But I'm so proud of my idea with special thanks to Heather!

Stitching Update

Since stitching is my stress relief, I've been cramming in as much stitching time as I can. (I need all the relief I can get :-P) So I've pulled way too many late nights while Lena is sleeping but I've been a stitching machine!

I finally finished Birds of a Feather by With Thy Needle and Thread. I started this before Lena was born and just felt so compelled to finish it. So once Lena started napping more (thanks to liking the swing) I was able to make real progress.

And a progress picture of my current project:
This is my Sampler Christmas Stocking by Mary Beale. I had been looking for stockings for a long time and I finally found some. I love these...they are a sampler and a Christmas Stocking all in one! There will be three more to come. (hey!...don't get any ideas for David, Lena and Asta)

It's so great...I am so fired up about stitching after a lull the month before the baby was born. I'm taking full advantage of my enthusiasm.
