One down, two to go

Okay...scores are starting to come in. I passed my morning exam questions. Now I just have to hear back from 2 more professors. But I'm not as worried about those two. It was during my morning session that 1. I got questions way out of left-field and 2. the power went out at 11 am and my computer chose not to "restore" my documents so I had an hour and a half to rewrite 2 essay questions, 7 pages in that amount of time isn't too shabby.

Finally starting to let the tension melt. It's nice not being stressed all the time.

Back to Normal....

With my comprehensive exams out of the way (now I just have to pray that I pass). It's back to doing things that I enjoy!

1. Reading fiction! What? Reading can be an enjoyable experience? Who knew!
2. Tatting and Crochet. I have to save up some $$$ for yarn. But in the meantime, I did a tatted bookmark.

A combination of two things I like to do: read and tat. (the Sherlock Holmes short stories never get old)

Coolness!!!

A little ray of sunshine in my week of stress...

I applied for free tickets to witness "The Ceremony of Keys" that takes place each night in the Tower of London. According to the website, the ceremony of locking up the Tower has taken place each night for over 700 years. I'm not sure exactly what will happen. But it sounds like a cool thing to see and the tickets are free. You just have to mail a request with a self addressed envelope into their office two months in advance. Only 15 people get to watch this ceremony each night, so that's pretty cool too!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Well...I'm not Irish (well I could have been at some branch in the family tree) and I'm not Catholic (although the story of St. Patrick is a good one but I'm not talking history on my blog tonight). But I really don't need an excuse for Corned Beef. My mom used to always make Corned Beef w/ Cabbage & Potatoes. Now that it's just the two of us and I have school stressing me out, I did a way simplified version. I made Corned Beef & Swiss Sandwiches with Sauteed Cabbage. And yes I worn green today along with a Celtic heart necklace my mom gave me forever ago.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Excuse my attire, that's a running shirt I have on. :-P

Starting Early....

It's probably a bit early to be putting this up but I love webcams. And I especially love watching babies! (FYI-when I refer to "babies" I don't mean human babies, I mean animal babies which in my opinion are waay cuter. Especially the baby Shibas! Awe they are growing up too quicky! Don't get me wrong kids are cute but puppies are cuter. :-P) Anyways I digress!

It's the Eagle Cam! Remember that from last year? It's a little early to be putting it up on my blog but why not? Watching the mother is quite interesting, how she tends her nest. Plus it's great background noise for doing my school work. So far there are 2 eggs, one was just laid this morning and I think the other one was 3 or 4 days ago. I'm gonna keep up with these guys and watch them grow just like last year!
